Our Story

T and I met the summer of 2005 at a small private school in a midwestern college town.  I was completing a practicum for my degree and he was teaching at the time.  The first day I walked into the school, I was drawn to him.  Perhaps it was the way he was with the children (hello biology!) or his kind, humorous personality, but I was smitten!

At the end of my practicum, he asked for my phone number, and the rest is history!

In the summer of 2007, we moved across the country to the east coast where I attended school to become a certified Montessori teacher.  After supporting me through my Master's degree, I supported him.  T went to school for his B.S.N. and is now a full-time pediatric nurse.

In October of 2008, we flew home and got married on the campus where we both attended college.  It was a beautiful, small ceremony full of love.  We still receive compliments to this day about how touching and wonderful the ceremony was.

In May of 2010, we decided to try to begin a family.  Much to our surprise and delight, we were pregnant in late June and due late March 2011.

Baby J was born on March 20, 2011.  Life is so good!
