Simple Beer Bread
3 cups sifted all-purpose flour
1/4 cup sugar
3 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
12 oz. beer
1/4 cup melted butter
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Combine dry ingredients and mix well.
Add beer.
Transfer dough into a well greased bread pan and pour butter over the top.
Bake for 60 minutes.
That's it! The bread is best eaten immediately, piping hot from the oven. I'm embarrassed to say that T and I ate the entire loaf before I was able to capture the final product. I guess this means I will have to make some more.
Here's J helping make beer bread! Excuse the iPhone quality.

Silly question.. what does beer bread taste like? It sounds good, but I don't like beer. :) Would I like it?
That looks delish! I put Wes on the counter too when I'm cooking sometimes! He just likes to hang out and watch!
The bread is great and doesn't taste too much like beer. Use a light beer and I bet you'll like it!
And yes, I think it is so wonderful for our little guys to watch us cook! I bet they're learning so much...
